Mother and calf sighting Reunion

The first humpback whale sighting of the mission, from the beautiful Lady La Fee: a mother–calf pair.

The sighting was made with the ABYSS team, whose knowledge of these waters and of the whales made it possible. Together with Olivier Adam, Lucie Jean-Labadye, Bertrand Denis, Beverley Ecalle, Yann Doh, Nadège Gandilhon, Anne Barat and Sandra Pédurthe.
